Stage 4 Cancer Survey – The Cancer Horizons community has a large number of members that have received a stage 4 or metastatic cancer diagnosis, you lead extraordinary lives filled with an appreciation for life and the small things that most of the world will never know. We have agreed to work with the University of Arizona on a most important and worthwhile research project. If you are currently living with a stage 4 metastatic cancer diagnosis then we need your help. Researchers at The U of A are interested in how people living with metastatic cancer manage to live well and in a meaningful way while still acknowledging the reality of their cancer situation and their own mortality. This phenomenon is called “double awareness” and more information needs to be gathered to learn exactly how new support programs and research dollars can be used most efficiently.
