Sabrina was diagnosed in 2015 with stage 4 oral squamous cell carcinoma. The tumor presented itself on her tongue like a canker sore that wouldn’t heal. She underwent a six-hour surgery that removed half of her tongue and reconstructed it with muscle and blood vessels from her forearm. She ended up spending 10 days in the hospital and several months recovering and learning basic functions like talking and eating. Sabrina has an incredible voice and had to learn how to sing again. She was declared cancer-free in February 2016 and her cancer was beaten for almost three years.
A few months ago, her cancer returned back on her tongue. Through consultation and opinions from medical specialists both in the United States and abroad, Sabrina’s best chance for beating this cancer again is to participate in a holistic clinical trial that includes IV vitamin C treatments, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, as well as with naturopathic medicine and supplements. All of these treatments are not covered by insurance and are out of pocket. Sabrina is currently on disability as she is unable to work during this time as she receives daily treatments. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
