Bio – Tommy Chong the other half of the “Cheech & Chong” duo partnered with Cheech Marin, this musician, comedian, and actor beat cancer with diet, supplements, and cannabis.
Short Story – When the musician and actor was diagnosed with stage 1 prostate cancer, he became a cannabis activist. The rocker was part of a band known as Bobby Taylor & the Vancouvers, yet most recognize him from co-writing and performing on many Cheech & Chong albums and movies. Yes, we are talking about the infamous Tommy Chong. He also played the role of a hippie on both That 70’s Show and Dharma & Greg.
The Canadian-American comedian and actor revealed the news of his diagnosis in June of 2013. His recommended doctor in Victoria, British Columbia changed his diet and put him on supplements. Chong also treated his condition with hemp oil (hash oil) and endured a session with a world-renowned healer, Adam Dreamhealer. Within one year, Chong brought his PSA levels down and was cancer free.
His unconventional and untraditional way of beating cancer, worked for him. Tommy is now vocal about about his belief in the legalization of cannabis (oil) for a viable and natural treatment. For many people he feels it could reduce damaging and invasive treatments, chemotherapy, radiation, and pharmaceuticals.
Thank you Tommy for sharing your talents and for being a voice for alternative cancer treatments.
