For more than 3,000 years mankind has turned its eyes Heavenward to see the stars and dream! 3-Millennia ago the ancient Babylonians who originally named the constellations and used them to navigate the earth, had no knowledge of a disease so devastating and life-changing as CANCER. Now instead of wonder, amazement and dreams of far off places the name of the “Crab called Cancer” creates an image far different than intended.
At Cancer Horizons we feel it’s time for NASA to start making some changes. If they can add a new astrological sign called “Ophiuchus” then they certainly can re-name the crab from Cancer to Cancer Free! I mean let’s look at it realistically; a nice guy meets an interesting girl and the question “Hey what’s your sign?” Reply – Cancer, well any positive opportunity is blown out of the water at that very moment. Those with birthdays between July 20 and August 10 certainly deserve better!
We propose that the sign of Cancer be altered to now better reflect the newly established name
The recent changes in the Zodiac can be understood better from NASA themselves:
When the Babylonians first invented the 12 signs of the zodiac, a birthday between about July 23 and August 22 meant being born under the constellation Leo. Now, 3,000 years later, the sky has shifted because Earth’s axis (North Pole) doesn’t point in quite the same direction. Read more at https://spaceplace.nasa.gov/starfinder2/en/
* Note to reader – This is not the start of a legal battle being waged with NASA. They will however be sent our results to see if the name change can be considered and who knows eventually we can all shout from the Heaven’s regardless of your date of birth we celebrate the stars Cancer Free!.
